What We Need
- An edited 1-3 minute video delivered in electronic format as agreed upon between the Professional and Organization, with HD quality as a master version, along with any agreed upon formats for final usage
Looking for someone with time, energy and vision to help us create a short 2-3 minute historical origin story. We have two recorded interviews ready to go, we just need a talented editor to pull the best clips/quotes and piece together in a short story for our website and an upcoming Aug. 14 event.
What We Have In Place
- We currently have professional interviews with the founder and her parents, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have historical photos, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How This Will Help
This project will save us $5,422 , allowing us to support nearly 70 girls through a full year of our Binti Shupavu mentoring program.
We are in an exciting time of transition as an organization, but we want to be sure we capture and share where we came from. Your help presenting our history and "origin" story in a compelling way will be tremendously useful in helping us grow, while celebrating our evolution.
About The Org
AfricAid's mission is to improve the standing of women in society through robust, locally-led mentorship initiatives that cultivate confidence, improve academic and health outcomes, and promote socially-responsible leadership skills.
What We Do
AfricAid supports our sister organization, GLAMI, in mentoring secondary school girls in Tanzania to complete their education, develop into confident leaders, and transform their own lives and their communities. We equip girls to overcome challenges and reach their full potential because educated girls create lasting positive change. The outcome is resilient, proactive, and socially-responsible girls who secure better jobs, raise healthier children, and increase the standing of women in society.

The people at AfricAid are such an amazing group of people. It was such an honor to be able to put together their origin story. In the process learning about the amazing work they do and just how incredible they all are in that organization. I am in awe of the impact they have had on improving peoples lives in Tanzania since their launch. They knew exactly what they wanted the project to be while also allowing me creative freedom. Their feedback and generously kind words along the way were invaluable to me. My time working with AfricAid is something I will always cherish. I hope I am lucky enough to be involved with their projects in the future.
