Senior Software Engineer

Essence of the Role

Catchafire is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build out our web application for skills-based volunteering. You must have extensive web development experience using Python and Django as well as experience with frontend software development using HTML, CSS, & Javascript. You should be comfortable coding, gathering & shaping requirements, and taking ownership of complex projects involving cross-functional teams.

The Catchafire platform team is a global agile team that develops world-class products for an audience of passionate volunteers and inspiring nonprofits.

Responsibilities
  • Engage in all aspects of software development, including architecture, documentation, testing, deployment, maintenance, and bug-fixing, primarily using Python, Django, and MySQL
  • Write Django templates, JavaScript, modern HTML & SASS

Program Coordinator, Foundation Accounts

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Catchafire scales to deliver programs for major Foundations, we’re opening a new role that will be integral in helping Catchafire continue to deliver transformational experiences and resources that enable nonprofits and the social good ecosystem to grow and thrive. You will have the opportunity to take part in helping Catchafire shape a new function in service of our critical mission.

As the Program Coordinator, you will be a part of the team entrusted with managing some of our largest and most impactful partnerships with grantmaking foundations. You will support the Accounts team and will also work collaboratively with Catchafire teammates across marketing, business development, product and tech. The person best suited for this role is naturally organized, has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, has exceptional attention to detail and is a master project manager. You have a desire to learn about program design and implementation, client management, marketing strategy, and tech and product development.

In partnership with our Account Managers - the primary owners of our client relationships - you will help build and sustain long-lasting program success with our clients who help bring Catchafire to thousands of organizations world-wide and deliver on our critical mission to transform the nonprofit sector.

This role will report to one of our longest tenured Foundation Accounts Directors who will be a great sponsor and champion as you pioneer these new waters.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate pre-launch and launch activities for all Foundation programs, liaising with internal teams including Product, Marketing, Customer Success and User Engagement teams.
  • Monitor progression of programs to ensure we’re meeting engagement goals and organizations are getting the most out of Catchafire.
  • Collaborate with end-user teams to develop strategies and tactics to drive additional engagement for programs not meeting performance expectations.
  • Deliver regular quantitative reporting to Account Managers to help fuel their monthly and mid-year touchpoints with clients.

Sr. Associate, Digital Marketing & Graphic Design

About the Role

You’ll be building and executing cross-channel marketing campaigns that educate, inspire and drive action ultimately influencing the social good space and changing perspectives on volunteering.

This role will require a combination of creativity, strategic thinking and execution. As a lean, centralized team, being part of marketing means contributing to a broad spectrum of digital strategies to engage our ever-growing community of volunteers and nonprofit users including partnership launches, email campaigns, social media channel growth and direct mail.

We’re looking for a storyteller who is equal parts marketer and designer - requiring a unique blend of skills, experience and autonomy. If you are a graphic designer looking to roll-up your sleeves with channel strategy, a traditional campaign marketer looking to further finesse your design skills into a full-time opportunity, or a digitally-minded social media consumer ready to grow a brand, we want to meet you.

Manager, Volunteer Engagement & Program Evangelism

ABOUT THE ROLE

As our demand from nonprofits for expert help grows, we’re looking for a dedicated individual to grow this community, strengthens the relationships within it and acts as a skills-based volunteer advocate externally and internally.

Manager, Volunteer Engagement will do this in several ways: (1) help to onboard and create curriculum for our volunteers (2) provide a high level of customer service to volunteers seeking help with projects (3) build partnerships with organizations who provide a source of volunteers across critical needs areas (4) act as an advocate for our volunteer users both internally and externally.

Responsibilities
  • Develop curriculum to educate, on-board and set our volunteers up for success, with an eye on strategic decisions that will affect large numbers of volunteers at once.
  • Execute onboarding programming and events for volunteers both online and in person.
  • Identify, cultivate, and motivate volunteer “super users” to assist nonprofits and utilize for case studies, speaking engagements and feedback.
  • Identify targets and build partnerships with organizations who can provide skills-based volunteers across our most needed skills areas.
