Vice President, Foundation Accounts

About the Role

The Vice President, Foundation Accounts will be a senior leader for a major revenue driving team at Catchafire during a period of aggressive growth and transformation. Reporting to the SVP of Foundation Accounts, the VP will be responsible for growing the Customer Lifetime Value of a portfolio of Catchafire’s foundation partnerships. This individual will partner closely with the Strategic Partnerships team as we shape our partner and regional expansion strategies and will then be responsible for realizing that strategy with specific partners in his or her portfolio. In addition, the VP will be at the forefront of how we transform our workflow, systems and programming to ensure that we are delivering maximum impact for our partners and nonprofits while creating efficiencies in our service delivery. The VP will oversee a team of 3-4 to start, and we anticipate the team will grow.

You Will be Expected To:
  • Manage and Grow a Portfolio of Partnerships
    • Manage and grow a portfolio of approximately 15-20 of our largest and most impactful partnerships with grantmaking foundations. You will oversee and become the expert on leading foundations in the United States and globally, who are focused on community building, supporting local philanthropy, and elevating nonprofit organizations and ecosystems to achieve impact.
    • Responsible for program success and delivery, meeting and exceeding expectations set with our clients in order to build measurable impact for our foundation partners and the communities and cause areas they serve.
    • Secure maximum at/above goal renewal revenue for portfolio with no contract time gaps. This includes overseeing and enabling client renewal discussions which will often include ensuring mindset alignment and the positioning of expansion opportunities and program design innovations. Goal is 100% renewal of portfolio.
    • Build, deepen and grow client relationships across all levels of the organization, including senior and executive leadership, in support of long-term partnerships and the maximization of revenue opportunities. Build lasting and deep relationships with our partners and set the partnership up for long-term success and growth.
    • Collaborate closely with Strategic Partnerships teammates to unlock revenue potential of key communities and ecosystems.
    • Steer the strategy and implementation of pricing across your entire portfolio, including the evolution of unique structures like regional collaboratives.
    • Regularly travel to clients across the country for meetings and workshops.
  • Manage and Grow a Team of Talented Individuals
    • Lead and build a rapidly growing team of Account Managers. You will start with 3-4 Account Managers as direct reports, and you will need to hire as Catchafire is growing quickly.
    • Provide outstanding people leadership and coaching to the Foundation Accounts team, working with team members on the success of their portfolios and how they continue to develop their skills and grow in their roles and with the organization.
    • Clearly define the role and responsibilities of your direct reports and ensure that they have clarity on what they are expected to deliver and how they are expected to work. This includes providing ongoing development feedback and coaching.
    • Deeply understand the functional responsibilities of the team to deliver strong partner programs and growth and continuously seek ways to optimize and innovate on our service delivery. You will be joining at a time of significant evolution in our service delivery model, including the creation of new centralized roles and the development of more automated solutions.
  • Advance Catchafire’s Thought Leadership and Sector Relationships
    • Build, deepen and grow relationships in the sector that strengthen Catchafire’s foundation partnerships, brand equity and ability to grow revenue
    • Cultivate relationships with existing foundation clients so that they serve as advocates, ambassadors and connectors for us
    • Conceive of and lead innovative and compelling convenings of foundation leaders (i.e., a Summit, monthly dinners) to position Catchafire as a thought leader on capacity building and civic engagement

Product Designer

Essence of the Role

Catchafire is looking for a Product Designer to join our Product team. They will be an integral part of evolving our platform in a responsive framework as well as creating ongoing new features and improvements based on research and user validation. They should be energized by collaboration and always striving to stay ahead of design trends and best practices. They should have a keen attention to detail and care about using design to make the world (and our customers’ experience) a better place. This role reports to the User Experience Director.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with product owners, UX Director and stakeholders to conceptualize and design solutions that improve and develop the product experience
  • Conduct competitive and comparative research when developing new features
  • Wireframe new concepts and create user flows of complex interactions
  • Create interactive prototypes of design solutions for user validation
  • Plan and conduct usability testing to validate designs and ensure solutions are effective, intuitive and usable and iterate design based on the results
  • Create high-fidelity designs of features that include all states and variables that interactions must support

Foundation Accounts Manager

Essence of the Role

As Foundation Accounts Manager, you will be entrusted to manage and grow a portfolio of 8-10 of our largest and most impactful partnerships with grantmaking foundations. You will oversee and become the expert on these foundations from around the country, and in some cases world, who are focused on community building, supporting local philanthropy, and elevating nonprofit organizations and ecosystems. You are responsible for program success and delivery, meeting and exceeding expectations set with our clients in order to build measurable impact for our foundation partners and the communities and cause areas they serve. Through your experience with client management and project management, you’ll build lasting and deep relationships with our partners and set the partnership up for long-term success and growth.

YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO:
  • Manage the successful implementation of all program activities for your portfolio of accounts, including:
    • Managing and collaborating with internal teams to generate marketing, programming, events and deliverables for the client across the program lifecycle (launch, including contact email list, mid-program, renewal and expansion, etc.)
    • Reporting engagement and nonprofit findings to your clients and Catchafire internal teams regularly by:
      • Monitoring progression of ongoing programs against client success metrics and internal goals
      • Using key metrics (both quantitative and qualitative) to demonstrate to client Catchafire’s impact for nonprofits and the community through compelling impact stories and data visualization
      • Managing proprietary survey and research mechanisms that help Catchafire provide valuable insights to our foundation partners and to their nonprofits
      • Generating fresh ideas aimed at improving success metrics, client satisfaction and growth potential
  • Build and grow client relationship and partnership for your portfolio of accounts:
    • Develop and continuously refine client management strategy

Manager, Nonprofit Engagement

Essence of the Role

The Manager, Nonprofit Engagement strengthens our relationships with nonprofit members, pulls new nonprofits to Catchafire, and acts as a nonprofit subject matter expert. You are the face and voice of Catchafire for our nonprofit users, drawing people to you and to Catchafire. You will do this in several ways: (1) help to onboard our nonprofit grantees (2) support our Foundation Accounts team by facilitating and leading community events and cultivating relationships with our nonprofits (3) elevating the Engagement team by bringing your creative ideas and innovations.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a professional and enthusiastic ambassador of Catchafire
  • Run nonprofit information sessions to introduce new users to Catchafire
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with high performing nonprofit leaders in our community to leverage for case studies, speaking engagements, and feedback
  • Represent Catchafire at conferences and events
  • Write stories, case studies, and impact reports about our nonprofits’ success
  • Participate in the creation and management of topical webinars to increase nonprofit success on Catchafire
  • Up to 50% travel time (mostly US-based) required

Recruiting Manager

About the Role

As Catchafire’s Recruiting Manager, you will manage all of the day to day coordination and project management of the recruiting function in a quickly growing social impact startup. You will set up and co-design new hiring processes with the People Ops Manager, shepherd candidates through the interview process, manage interview teams, and report on key recruiting KPIs.

As a candidate’s first impression of Catchafire, you are a genuine and engaging brand ambassador and have a knack for developing relationships quickly. You’re a spectacular project manager, keenly detail oriented, and comfortable collaborating with, and sometimes corralling, a large number of stakeholders, including company executives. You’re systematic and process driven, able to handle a large volume of roles and activities, while never losing sight of the candidate experience and the critical assessments needed to make a strong hiring decision.

As a member of the People Team, you will also play a key role in developing and nurturing the employee experience post hiring, and may be pulled in to help with special projects beyond recruiting. This role reports into the People Team Manager.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Own the full day-to-day coordination and execution of Catchafire’s recruiting processes across a wide variety of roles all the way from job posting to contract signing
  • Act as a powerful advocate for Catchafire’s values and mission
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the majority of Catchafire candidates
  • Help the interview team evaluate and align on candidate trajectory
  • Own and advocate for the candidate experience throughout the process
  • Partner with the People Team Manager to optimize and improve our recruiting and interviewing systems company wide
  • Own recruiting reporting and track performance to recruiting KPIs
  • Manage relationships with recruiters and recruiting service providers
  • Own special projects across Catchafire’s internal operations in service of People Team goals

Program Coordinator

About the Role

As the Program Coordinator, you will partner with our Account Managers, the primary owners of our client relationships. Together you will build and sustain long-lasting program success with our Foundation clients who help bring Catchafire to thousands of organizations world-wide and deliver on our critical mission to transform the nonprofit sector.

You will work collaboratively with Catchafire teammates across accounts, marketing, business development, product and tech. The person best suited for this role is naturally organized, has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, has exceptional attention to detail and is a master project manager. You have a desire to learn about program design and implementation, client management, marketing strategy, and tech and product development.

You will have the opportunity to take part in helping Catchafire shape a new function in service of our critical mission. This role will report to our Program Delivery Lead.

Responsibilities
  • Own pre-launch and launch activities for all Foundation programs, liaising with internal teams including Product, Marketing, Customer Success and User Engagement teams.
  • Monitor progression of programs to ensure we’re meeting engagement goals and organizations are getting the most out of Catchafire.
  • Collaborate with end-user teams to develop strategies and tactics to drive additional engagement for programs not meeting performance expectations.
  • Deliver regular quantitative reporting to Account Managers to help fuel their touchpoints with clients.
  • Assist in the identification and collection of success stories that help our clients understand the underlying impact our service delivers to their organizations.
  • Manage reporting and presentation templates to ensure consistency across accounts.
  • Research and understand the nonprofit ecosystem related to new programs to ensure we’re setting partners up for success.

Experience / Background

You must have:

  • Min 3+ years of relevant work experience supporting client facing, partnerships or program teams
  • Comfort pulling, analyzing and visualizing data
  • Material project management experience
  • Acumen with presentation, spreadsheet, data and task management tools
  • Excellent creative problem solving and critical thinking ability
